Of course the menu, pricing, and food are the real tellers. Yeah for Ben & Jerry's. They seem to have a national name, but i don't percieve them that way. As for Nacho Mama's, their menu has plenty of items that sound promising, I've just found the execution to be lacking: chimichangas where the filling had no seasoning, nachos cubanos that must have been sitting under a heat lamp for a long time- the chips were completely limp when served. Maybe it was all bad luck, but with limited dining out money, I've had too many bad experiences to keep trying again. Also- I'm not criticizing these particular restaurants, several of which I'll likely eat at, I just keep hoping that some of the new restaurants in town will do something completely unexpected. If they are not any good they'll go away like all the ones before them. I am always up for more Mexican, but I love Nacho Mama's. Boring! The name "Carytown Sushi" earns a zero for imagination. We don't need two ice cream shops in one block. Viva Mexico is probably overcompensating for something we'll learn about on our first visit. Since Zeus has been serving up mediocrity for a couple years now, I'm hoping that the mutiny will produce someting inspired at Karsen's.
